The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The provider level designed for intervention website ordeals a large influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to allow the servicing of all shoppers and improve usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
